Visual Link Labs Unveils World’s First Hydrogen-Powered EV Plug-In Car

[Reston, VA] — Visual Link Labs is proud to announce the development of the world’s first plug-in electric vehicle (EV) that utilizes hydrogen gas as a primary energy source. This groundbreaking innovation redefines how electric vehicles store energy, moving beyond traditional lithium-ion batteries. Instead, the new EV stores electrical energy using hydrogen gas and oxygen, powering the car through hydrogen fuel cells.

Unlike conventional electric vehicles, which rely solely on charging stations, this hydrogen EV allows for two options: plug-in charging or rapid refueling at hydrogen stations—offering the same quick refuel time as gasoline-powered cars. With hydrogen fueling stations currently limited to only 39 in the United States, all located in California, and one in Canada, this breakthrough aims to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-powered cars and encourage the expansion of hydrogen refueling infrastructure across the country.

“We believe our innovation solves a major barrier to widespread hydrogen vehicle ownership and will drive both consumer adoption and investment in hydrogen fueling stations,” said Mark Bayliss, President of Visual Link Labs.
